No Code, More Focus, Big Launch

Not doing a great job of doing few things better LOL!

In this edition of Le Marais bakery chronicles, I vaguely said, “I’ll just get my regular - the chocolate almond croissant” and the server said, “ah, your favorite!” Yes, definitely in “regular” territory now.

The week was brutal, but the weekend was nice. Worked on a no code project, submitted a long-awaited application, said hello! @ On Deck’s hackathon, learned 2 new dances with GG, and had dinner outdoors with friends. Miss seeing people! ❤️

👍 What went well: Ventured Into No Code

Since discovering the #NoCode movement’s power, I’ve been venturing into the depths of Bubble Apps, which is probably the densest and most complex platform to start a No Code journey in, but I’m loving it! For my first major project, I’m rebuilding Consensus. Check it out here!

I’ve created a concept of rooms, players hosting & joining rooms, a voting system, and showing prompts. MANY BUGS. 🐛 Depending on when you open it up, hopefully it’ll be in a better state.

Here’s a sample of my work station and what goes live in production! I miss building things!

I also created a landing page for that “hobby marketplace” startup idea. It’s basic and “Jupiter” is a placeholder name, but check it out here & let me know if you have feedback!

Next week, hoping to finish Consensus & get started on a new project.

👎 What could be better: Still. Too. Many. Things.

This week, I had to drop the ball on a LOT of ODF5 programming and 1:1s, which SUCKS. Still haven’t “quit” any commitment, though I expect work to somewhat die down after this week (big launch!)

👉 What’s up next: Big Launch of Open to #Hiring!

At LinkedIn, millions of members are hacking their profiles saying “I’m hiring!” - we’re building a solution that helps hiring managers share this intent through jobs on their profile, and amplify this intent to their network (keeping it vague until we officially launch!) This was SUCH A JOURNEY to get here and I’m glad we’re finally rolling this out. It’s the most complex project I’ve led at LinkedIn so far, with many stakeholders (+200 people working on this), & (soon to be) A TON of impact to the world of hiring!

No screenshots yet, but soon to come!

Next week, hoping to finish Consensus project on Bubble & get started on a new No Code project, along the lines of le startup idea.
